1. Parent and guardian involvement
Under-18 skaters should be linked to an authorised adult account where the product workflow requires it. Adults should review account access, communication and privacy settings with the child.
2. Communication rules
Messages must relate to legitimate coaching or platform activity. Coaches should use group, parent-visible or organisation-approved channels whenever possible and avoid unnecessary one-to-one communication outside reasonable hours.
3. Images and personal information
Do not upload or share a child’s image, location, school, medical information or contact details unless there is a legitimate purpose, appropriate authority and a safe method of sharing.
4. Unsafe behaviour
Sexualised communication, grooming, coercion, bullying, requests for secrecy, unauthorised meetings and attempts to move a child to hidden communication channels are prohibited and may be reported immediately.
5. Reporting
Use the safeguarding process described in the Safeguarding Policy. In an emergency, call 999.
